South Alabama’s First Player in Senior Bowl-Courtney Smith

South Alabama receiver Courtney Smith will be the first player from the second year team to ever appear in a Senior Bowl. At 6-6 and 230 pounds, Smith had over 1000 yards on the season and 10 Touchdowns.

“It means a whole lot to play in this game, coming from South Alabama,” he said. “Getting a late invite is fine with me. I just want to showcase my talents to help my teammates out here at South Alabama. … Playing in the Senior Bowl can only help. Playing here can only boost my stock that I can play in the NFL. It just helps me prove to people that it doesn’t matter where you come from or what school you play at, you can go out and do what you’ve got to do and play.”
