A Healthy Christian Ponder Eyes Senior Bowl

2011 NFL Draft Prospect and Florida State Quarterback Christian Ponder did not have the year he expected. A season that was supposed to see his draft stock rise was marred by injury. He is going into the 2011 Under Armor Senior Bowl this weekend with an open mind…and healthy.

“It’s definitely huge for me,” Ponder said of being a part of the Senior Bowl, where he will be scrutinized by NFL scouts and coaches. “The season, obviously, wasn’t too great for me, personally. I battled a lot of injuries this year, and I think coaches will be kind of hesitant and will be looking to see how I am healthwise.

“So, this week will be a good way to express what I can do and that I’m healthy. I think it’s going to turn out well.”
